For Trench Safety Awareness and Competent Person Duties
OSHA requires that trenching and excavation jobs have a Competent Person on the jobsite to help create a safe working environment. This person is someone who has the knowledge, experience, and authority to identify predictable and existing dangers on the jobsite, as well soil types and the necessary protective systems. The Competent Person must stop work to fix unsafe situations, if needed. In order to qualify as a competent person, the OSHA 10 Hour Construction Training Course must be completed.
Our class meets OSHA Competent Person standards and provides training in multiple areas.
